Improving MyHelp

Effective: October 22, 2026

Your choice

If you opt in, MyHelp collects app activity, including failed-search text, linked to your account and store to improve the service. Sharing is optional. Manage your choice in Settings.

Sharing starts off and the signup choice is unchecked. You can use MyHelp without sharing. Creating an account, accepting Terms or participating in testing does not authorize it.

Manage your choice using “Help improve MyHelp” in Settings → Legal → Privacy notice. Turning it on records your permission. “Improving MyHelp” opens the explanation. The signup option reads “Share app usage information to support improvements.”

Information shared

With permission, authorized MyHelp administrators review activity linked to your account and store. It is not anonymous. The information helps improve searches, workplace workflows, onboarding and reliability and includes:

  • Search-result counts, item selections and filters.
  • App and feature visits, workflow results and timings, and your use of team features.
  • Onboarding steps after verification and return visits.
  • Platform, app/build versions and general error categories.
  • How you found MyHelp, if you choose to provide that information.

Successful search words are not collected through activity sharing. Failed-search words, search mode and filter context require current permission covering that collection. An earlier choice that does not cover search words is insufficient. Filters can miss names or confidential information; keep private details out of searches.

Activity records do not have fields for passwords, tokens, contact details, private task content, photos or raw recognized text. Failed-search words are free text and may contain information filters miss. Reports reflect recorded activity only; missing records do not establish that a feature was unused.

Turning sharing off

Turning sharing off immediately stops sharing under this control on the device, clears waiting events and requests deletion of the covered activity. The app indicates when server confirmation is pending and retries after restart or reconnection while you remain signed in to the same account. Deletion is confirmed only after the server responds.

Other signed-in devices may use their last confirmed choice until the server receives your request. If local saving and the server request both fail before the app closes, the request may not survive a restart. Sharing remains off for that running session, and the app indicates the saving failure. Signing out does not confirm deletion.

No activity from before permission or while sharing was off is added later. Sharing requires a new affirmative choice after confirmed withdrawal; an older request cannot restore it.

Separate service records

Turning sharing off does not remove your account, membership, ordinary store records, support requests, or authentication and security records. Normal features remain available. Administrator activity reports follow your choice; reports that cannot separate permitted activity from ordinary business records are withheld.

The updated sharing system disables older independent visit collection. Update MyHelp to manage these sharing controls. Website requests and independent device or testing diagnostics are separate from this control.

Retention

Shared activity has a 90-day reporting and retention window. Scheduled cleanup removes expired records, but failures or backlogs may delay physical removal. Turning sharing off requests deletion, with confirmation subject to the limits above.

Permission choices are retained to honor them. A limited abuse-prevention counter is retained for two Pacific calendar days and excluded from activity reports. Business history, provider and security records, backups and exports follow the separate practices in the Privacy Notice.

Independent diagnostics

Photo recognition takes place on the device. Android ML Kit separately sends Google usage/performance metrics and update requests. Apple operating-system diagnostics are separate. During TestFlight testing, Apple automatically collects and shares crash and usage information under its testing terms. MyHelp's sharing control does not disable those independent flows.
